We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean.
But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.

Psychotherapy and Consultation

Welcome to my psychotherapy practice. I am a California State licensed psychotherapist (lic.#50312) with over 20 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families to heal and thrive. I also consult, mediate, and provide psychotherapy for spiritual emergencies and crisis, and provide support to spiritual teachers and communities in crises. My training spans a variety of traditional and modern psychotherapeutic modalities including: Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Somatic Experiencing, and Transpersonal Psychotherapies, and I am committed to a lifelong and ongoing study in my field. I fully believe that psychotherapy is not only about overcoming wounds and working through problems and traumas, but about healing, thriving, becoming relationally healthy, vocationally empowered, and fulfilling our highest potential as human beings.  No matter how wounded, traumatized, or unstable the individual, couple, or family feels when entering my practice, I am able to see, and help them to discover, their fundamental goodness and gifts, and provide a steady, safe, compassionate, and confidential space in which healing and thriving can and will emerge.

Fellow Travelers on the Path,
In this time of collective, environmental, and global trauma, which inevitably also unearths our own individual traumas and wounds, I want to offer this Free audio and PDF download of The Yoga & Psyche Method Toolbox, which includes the very best practices I have found for processing trauma safely in the body, and regulating and and soothing our nervous systems. Drawing from depth psychology, Somatic Experiencing™, trauma healing methods, yoga and meditative practices, and neuroscience, these practices can be done solo, in pairs, or as a support to psychotherapy, yoga, and healing sessions. Read more about the practices in the PDF and/or explore them right here.

I am with you in Alliance, Fortitude, and Embodied Love,

Mariana Caplan

I am convinced that spiritual work alone does not address many of our deepest psychological knots and traumas, nor does it provide tools to address our wounds in relationship that block us from fulfilling our deepest longings, dreams, and spiritual possibilities.
